Different Perspectives Art Games Festival

Starting with a first edition 20-30 January 2022, Different perspectives Art Games Festival highlights what videogames as a cultural medium can do and aims to inspire by presenting, meeting & creating games during a two week festival in culture house Het Bos.

The festival is founded and curated by me, and co-produced with Het Bos.

Full program can be found at differentperspectives.be

The central gathering point of Different Perspectives Art Games Festival is Relive/Herleef: An exhibition of autobiographical video games. Topics range from mental health, war experiences, loss of loved ones... But also positive experiences such as the value of peace, family and LGBTQ+ love will be highlighted in Relive / Herleef.

During the second week Different Perspectives Network Day will bring together professionals active or aspiring to be active with making arthouse games with international talks, pitches, and networking opportuninties.

During the second weekend of the festival, the annual Global Game Jam Antwerp takes place: a weekend in which creatives team up to make a video game in 48 hours time.
